The product has been independently tested by HeX group to European Standard EN14683 and accredited to meet type IIR .
The requirements of EN14683 are that the mask reach a Bacterial Filtration Efficiency (BFE) of at least 98%. the Westbury tested masks returned an average 99.9%. Additionally, the breath resistance of the mask falls well below the limit of a type IIR mask, making it comfortable to wear and easy to breath through.
Westbury Disposable Face masks are suitable for use in accordance with British Government guidelines for traveling by public transport, in public buildings, shops etc and for when social distancing is impossible.
The masks combine three protective layers of specially designed synthetic media that remove 99% of all particles down to 3 microns (a micron is one thousandth of a millimetre). As a result, they offer excellent protection and are non-irritating even to the most sensitive skin.
